The main activities of the group includes:
• Determination of range vegetation communities and range vegetation
types.
• Autecology study of the most important species of the rangelands.
• Study of trend and vegetation succession
• Examination of ecological adaptation of exotic species.
• Study of vegetation, livestock and human interactions in rangelands
ecosystem.
• Introduction of new range. The new studies could be presented
as national or provincial projects ecological studies useful for
Iranian range lands.

• Monitoring and evaluation of rangelands in different climate.

• Methods of range improvement and development
• Socio-economic problems prevailing on rangelands.
Range Implanting Research Group
This group is working on:
• Determine range species that application in dry lands area
• Research in scientific method for production forage in different
dry lands.
• Selection suitable method for Agronomic and Egrotechnic in forage
production in dry lands.
• Determine suitable area for implanting forage.
