Library
and Documentation Center of Natural Resources of Iran (LDCNRI)
was founded in 1968, along with the establishment of the
Research Institute of Forests and Rangelands ( RIFR) .
The LDCNRI is the most important reference Library of Natural
resources in Iran.
(There are many Journals, which some of them are belonged
to 19th century.)
It’s aimed to provide written scientific materials for the
RIFR’s scientific information needs.

The final reports
of scientific researches on forests and rangelands of Iran
are one of the most important documents in the Library collection.

| LDCNRI objectives |
|
LDCNRI supports the research and training activities of
RIFR through the acquisition, organization, retrieval and
dissemination of scientific and technical information in
natural science resources and specially in forests and rangelands.
The LDCNRI tries to identify and provide the satisfying
information of its members.

Library collection consists
CDs, Theses/dissertations, Books, Journals, maps, Scientific
Reports and etc.
Classification and Indexing
The books are classified aaccording to the L.C.classification
scheme.
The scientific documents are classified according to indexing
rules.

Rules
- Only the LDCNRI members my borrow books.
Borrowing and renewal is possible only by presence of the
LDCNRI member. |

Faculties: 6 books
M.S. and Ph.D. students: 4 Books
B.S. students: 2 books
They may borrow at the same time.
- Members are allowed to borrow books for 20 days.
- Reference books, periodicals and documents may not be borrowed.
- Priority is with the RIFR members for borrowing and renewaling
books.
- Nobody may borrow books instead of any other else.
- For any delay 500 Rials per day must be paid.
- Damage or lost of any book should be paid according to the
descrestion of librarian.
- Renewaling the LDCNRI membership card should be after official
process and paying 10000 Rials.
Membership
Every RIFR member shall be a member of LDCNRI, too.
Two pieces of personal pictures and completing the membership
form are needed.
Non-RIFR members who would like to be a member of LDCNRI shall
present the following:
- An introducing letter from his/her organization.
- To pay 1000 to RIFR account.
- Two pieces of personal picture.
- Competing the membership form

Photocopying
Photocopying services are located near the circulation
desk. Legal photocopy is provided for all users at
the circulation desk.
The cost A4 copy is 150 Rials/page.
Circulation desk
The circulation desk is equipped with barcode system.
Everybody can search the LDCNRI (collection) through
the computer systems. |
